What We Recycle....

 - Aluminium Drinks Cans/Aluminium Foil

We collect Aluminium drinks can from local businesses such as restaurants, pubs, cafes, factories and golf clubs.  We also have can banks placed at various community recycling sites in the borough of Ballymoney.  These cans are then collected by Bryson House Recycling, are sent over to England, and will be back on supermarket shelves in a mere 4-6 weeks.

You can find our can banks at:

  • Balnamore
  • Ballybogey
  • Cloughmills
  • Dervock
  • Drumaheglis Marina
  • Dunloy
  • Killyrammer
  • Macosquin
  • Loughguile
  • Rasharkin
  • Stranocum

- Mobile Phones

We work alongside various community groups and youth clubs, providing them with collection boxes so that members may donate their unwanted mobile phones.  Our mobiles are sold to Accceptable Enterprises who are a charity organisation based in Antrim.  The mobiles are then refurbished or used for parts, and sold in Third world countries for re-use.

- Ink Cartridges

Most of our ink cartridges are donated by the the Civil Service and the Northern Board Trusts.  We also receive cartridges from local businesses. We sort through them at our premises, record the serial numbers and send them to Recycling Appeal.  The cartridges are then re-filled or the plastic is melted and re-used.
